Nestled in a secluded 16th-century courtyard, this small space immediately captivated the owners, who were seeking a haven where they could escape for an evening, a weekend, or a day of remote work. To reinvent this space and restore its original charm, we designed an open-plan layout and entirely bespoke joinery, creating a comfortable dining area, a compact and discreet kitchen, a welcoming reading nook, an alcove bedroom with ample storage, and a compact and functional bathroom. Giant mirrors multiply perspectives and allow light to flow freely. The bedroom is transformed into an oak-veneered box, adorned with theatrical curtains, while the bathroom features graphic tiles with a rhythmic pattern. As for the colors: ochre red graces the beams and blends with the warm wood tones and touches of brass.
